US and Canada, being plagued by online gambling, are trying to deal with this problem. The government has threatened that it will bring in a new law to ban sports gambling unless the television companies stop giving betting updates while a sporting event was in progress. The ultimatum has asked all the broadcasters, sport executives, and bookmakers to do away with all sports gambling ads and updates within a year.
