Keith Whyte, the executive director of the National Council of Problem Gambling says that it doesn't make online sport gambling illegal but funding it illegal.
Antigua and Barbuda have filed charges against U.S.A in the W.T.O. because the government's mindset regarding online gambling violated their rights; but the W.T.O. has held the original ruling. They filed a claim against the United States with the WTO seeking $3.4 billion and a request for authorization to ignore U.S. patent and copyright laws. So one can say that online sport gambling is not illegal; but it is interpreted widely. No arrests have been made in the U.S. for online sport gambling.
